UNH Synchronized Skating National Send Off Show

Come out and support your UNH Synchronized Skating Team at the Whittemore Center Arena as they make their way to the 2012 United States National Synchronized Skating Championship! On Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 3:00-5:00 the UNH Synchronized Skating Team will be holding their annual National Send Off Show! Come support UNH and watch local skaters and synchronized skating teams from the Seacoast community!

NOFA-NH 10th Annual Winter Conference Growing Food, Farms and Community

The focus of the Winter Conference, which is open to gardeners and professional growers alike, is A sustainable future based on local organic production and growing local economies. Cambridge-based eco-activist and author Frances Lappe will be the keynote speaker. Featuring 40 workshops and lectures. Topic tracks include Beginner Organic Farmers, Permaculture, Food Safety and Storage, Herbs, Community Gardening and much more. Featuring the ever popular Green Market Fair, Raffle, book signings and our Famous Potluck Lunch. CEU’s available to Master Gardeners and NOFA Accredited Organic Land Care Professionals. Scholarships available through Beginner Farmers.

NOFA-NH is a non-profit organization of nearly 400 farmers, gardeners, and consumers that actively promotes regenerative and sustainable agricultural practices, ecologically-sound land care, and local, organic food systems. NOFA-NH educates farmers, gardeners, land care providers, and consumers of food on the benefits of natural, organic, and ecological growing practices.

DOVER CHILDREN’S HOME BOWL-A-THON 2012

Please join us for 90-minutes of bowling to support Dover Children’s Home, a non-profit treatment program serving NH’s most vulnerable children since 1893. We’re looking for 90 teams of 4 bowlers each to fill the lanes at Dover Bowl. A choice of three sessions is available: 11am-12:30pm, 1pm-2:30pm, or 3pm-4:30pm. Both candle pin and 10-pin lanes are available. Lane fees and bowling shoes will be free. We’re hoping each individual bowler can raise at least $100 in pledges for the Home.

Making Sense of Memory Loss

The six-part educational program "Making Sense of Memory Loss" will be offered at Pease Tradeport from February 7th to March 15th. Families of individuals with early stage Alzheimers disease or dementia are invited to attend. Classes will be held on Tuesdays from 4-6pm at 2 International Drive, Suite 121. The series is hosted by Nancy Euchner and AgeQuest Eldercare Stategies. Pre-registration is required. Cost is $25 for registration/materials and $10/class. Participants may register for all six sessions in advance for a total of $75. Fitness for a Cure

Free Family Fun Night

Enjoy a no-cost night out at the museum!

The Children's Museum of NH will be open from 5:30-8 pm for a Free Family Fun Night. All families are invited to explore the museum's two floors of exhibits with no admission fee. Favorite exhibits include the new Thinkering Lab, the Studio, Cochecosystem, Music Matrix and Pattern Palace.
